Companions of Christ

If you want to learn anything about Ignatian Spirituality, then Margaret Silf is your woman. She has such an easy style of writing, like reading something from a friend. Many of her books can be used in groups learning together how to pray imaginatively with this method, but this little book in the Rhythm of Life Series, would be a good starter. It isn’t long, it is simple to read, and gives a good introduction to Inigo Lopez, aka Ignatius of Loyola.

  1. Admire Margaret Silf hugely – but hope you’re reading about other spiritualities too. Diocese is already topheavy with Ignatians – they’re sucking up all the oxygen.

  2. Oh I know exactly what you mean. No, this was just a wee book lying on the shelf which I got in a sale and as I’m not reading fiction, thought it would do.
