Christmass Eve

It is at this time of year that blogging slows down in proportion to the amount of sermon writing and pew sheet design. Good liturgy can be so time consuming – but worth it!

Today you can join us for the Christingle and Crib Service at 3pm.  Bring your children, your children’s children and any other children you can find (that know you).  And if you do, there is mulled wine and mince pies to follow.

At 11.30pm the baby Jesus will come, we hope.  Well, if we pray very hard he might. The scene is set. The candles will be lit. The crib is waiting with the covers turned back. What do you think about a hot water bottle?

(And please spare a prayer for the fact that the water pipes have frozen in church and that we don’t have a speedy thaw and they burst.)
