Moving Day

Gusty winds on the east coast but no rain so far for moving day. Yesterday Michael, the packing man, whizzed through most of the rooms like a man possessed but his heart just wasn’t up to attacking the study. I can understand that. I followed him with my duster, bucket of water and hoover. The daylight gradually disappeared as boxes piled up in front of windows and the rooms began to echo.

This has been a happy home. Both boys have lived here at some point (in the Ann Frank suite). The neighbours have been charming and interesting. The garden was lovely to sit in or play basketball if you are so inclined. And I can’t tell you how much I will miss the double garage which held all my treasures.

But now we must move on… to a lovely house all sparkly decorated – and I pray that perhaps some more cupboards will have materialised by the time I get there!

  1. Glad it was dry for the move, Ruth, and that you are pleased with your new home.
I’m sure you’ll get a warm welcome from your new flock. Do they know what’s about to hit them, poor souls?!
    Blessings for the future.
