Knitted Last Supper

Dreams do come true!  A few weeks ago I came across a knitted Last Supper on the internet but the pattern was nowhere to be seen.  I mentioned it to Joyce and Shirley, knitters extraordinaire, at St Mark’s and they said they might have a go but it would probably take them till next year. Not so!  The blessed little pixies had been knitting their fingers to the bone and look what they presented me with last night at the Craft Group…

  1. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!!! Oh Ruth, how awesome are they – and how fabby is the Last Supper?? But, can they produce a pattern? Inquiring minds want to know!!!
Hope I can actually come and see them sometime x

  2. I am still not convinced by the concept, but have to bow in awe to the skill of the knitted chalice and cross-marked loaves.

If you want a recipe that makes communion bread that actually looks like that, you can try the Lutheran Seminary recipe from the states.
