I reached the summit of the Bathgate hill this morning just before 8am and the view was spectacular. With the cloud and mist the panorama was almost Turner-esque with a few hazy lights twinkling here and there. West Lothian can look so beautiful at times.
That is, until I came across a gang of crows scoffing something in the middle of the road. Was it a badger, a squirrel or a bunnie? No, it was a pile of Macdonald boxes with the remnants of somebody’s discarded chips and burgers. And they call it progress?
