Our second book was The Vanishing [...]

The clocks have gone back but for some reason I feel uneasy and not quite trusting that I have got it right. I keep double-checking and I know I changed my alarm last night and the central heating clock but I’m still worried that I’ve got it wrong. What is that all about?

Just back from a couple of days lolling around with friends in the Borders. The nice thing about staying there is that you can hardly get a mobile phone signal (even on Vodafone), no cable TV, no radio. Just birds and silence. Oh, and trees to die for and sheep on the hills and heather [...]

Congratulations this morning to Mr & Mrs McKenzie as they begin their married life together. It was a glorious wedding - everyone said so! I take no credit for this. K & K chose all the parts of the liturgy themselves with great care and attention. Hymns were chosen, not because they were old familiar [...]

Friday was a sad day. A friend’s aunt died suddenly at home just a week after undergoing major heart surgery. It was a shock to them all, coming as it did after spirits were raised in hope.
What an honour for me to be with the family at their time of grief. And what a joy [...]

I made up a wee list of suitable hymns for weddings but realise it is woefully out of date. Does anyone out there have a recent decent list?
Similarly, for funerals…?
